The first edition of Ars Sacra in Sibiu meant 5 exhibitions, 12 cultural events, two religious guided tours and hundreds of visitors on the occasion of open church days. Over 3000 visitors and spectators crossed the threshold of any place of worship during the three days of the festival.

Within the project, a website was created in four languages: Romanian, German, Hungarian and English and a Facebook page through which the general public was notified of the events included in the festival program.
There were also premieres on the occasion of the festival of presentation and promotion of sacred art. Two guided tours were organized, which were focused on presenting the heritage and history of places of worship in the historic center. The reunited choirs of the Reformed communities from Sibiu and Ocna Sibiului sang together, an unprecedented event in the last 30 years. The choir of the Roman-Catholic Parish Sibiu-Center offered, for the first time in Sibiu, a program of original
Gregorian songs. And the Archangelos Choir of the Orthodox Parish Stefan cel Mare sang for the first time in the Church of the Asylum, during the mandate of the parish priest Pop Ioan-Ersiliu.

Exhibitions and churches can still be visited, according to their own schedules and conditions.

The festival organized in the spirit of presenting sacred art, beauty, good and truth also meant a consistent partnership between the six historical confessions and the initiating cultural operator: the Superior Consistory of the Evangelical Church A.C. in Romania – Teutsch House, the Metropolis of Transylvania – the Archdiocese of Sibiu, the Roman-Catholic Parish Sibiu-Center, the Greek Catholic Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Parish, the Jewish Community, the Reformed Church and the HID Association –Hungarian Cultural Center, all from Sibiu.
